On holidays in Sweden we were on a road trip @babyitsmelovep in the Ostersund area and my partners family recommended that we should visit the folkloristic museum Jamtli, primarily for my benefit. Basically it gives a flavour of how people lived throughout the ages in Sweden, with their work habits, superstitions and regular activities.
To my surprise the whole experience was constructed by actors, which got me totally engaged, I even have the passport with time-traveller stamps to show for my efforts. Whilst the experience was very positive, there was room for improvement in the execution. However I would love to help other museums achieve a similar creative interaction with their visitors, because it had me talking for days. Imagine what your kids would say and how much more they will remember from the museum experience.
