Gamification stuff we love: Create your own game
In life we will always encounter situations where the mundane and boring still needs to get done. If you observe children, they always seem to find a way to make a journey more fun if you let them play creatively. So why not tap into that childlike innocence and creativity to make your more mundane and boring stuff interesting. I would also encourage a small reward for completion of a successful task.
